Jack’s work seeks to integrate the ‘stillness’ of traditional painting compositions with the added dimension of movement brought on via 3D animation - Creating captivating pieces where the subjects of the paintings are able to be viewed perpetually in motion.

Final Lap depicts a seemingly simple scene of runners training in an empty stadium. However, upon further inspection, the viewer begins to notice objects that appear in the work that seem out of place: a large metal cannister or three CRT monitors placed on a desk set-up, for example. The random nature of these objects situate the work, which seemingly appears to take on the qualities of Realism, into the realm of fantasy, as viewers attempt to unearth the associations between these items.
