I've always thought of creative block as a big weight that keeps you from moving from one idea to the next, like a big iron chain attached to your ankle that keeps you from moving on to the next concept or a big rock that falls on your piano, making a noise that muffles any interesting sound that might be germinating. Anyone who engages in even a small amount of creative activity is susceptible to these blocks, so it's a fairly universal feeling. However, for someone who engages in it professionally, these blockages can be very exasperating. If you add the ticking of a deadline to the big rock of the piano, the anxiety can become unbearable. Fortunately, we will always have our own creativity to try to capture these ideas in images or words. If the rock allows it, of course.
