The Eikosis project consists of the creation of a series of physical and virtual digital artworks representing cats. "Eikosis" is the Greek translation of "twenty" and thus echoes the number of cats in this second collection with artist Jérémie Bellot, as well as the polyhedron used to create the cats: the icosahedron, composed of exactly twenty faces.
The Sun, in the image of Apollo, god of the stars and the Light, decided to create the lion to frighten the Moon, wishing to intimidate Artemis, his sister, goddess associated with the Moon. She answered him mischievously and mocked him by creating cats, who since then live alongside humans during the day and gather at night, under the moonlight, to find their mother. "The Eikosis" is a family of twenty cats who travel from city to city to take in sunlight during the day and give it back at night, paying homage to their mother the Moon. They interact with their adopted city and soak up its character. Each cat is unique. All are part of the Eikosis family.
