Although man indiscriminately appropriates the natural landscape in a violent way, becoming a slave to himself and his will to dominate, the life cycle of nature is unstoppable and despite the fact that it seems to succumb to scars made by man, it is reborn to new life.

About the series Living Structure

The series analyzes the difficult relationship between man and nature, between unbridled urbanization and sustainability. How far will man go in the exploitation of soil? Will he be able to find a solution and get out of this vicious circle that is leading him to self-destruction? Or will it disappear, giving way to imposing abandoned gray skeletons, a reminder of a civilization aimed at consuming resources and which hasn’t been able to preserve its environmental heritage?

A self-taught Italian artist, Svccy began his career in 2016 with digital collage before turning to 3D art. His practice is now rooted in a personal reinterpretation of the Vaporwave movement, an aesthetic trend that emerged online in the 2010s, known for its nostalgic exploration of computer interfaces and video game consoles from the 1980s and 1990s; featuring recurring motifs such as Roman busts, deserted shopping malls, and Japanese visual culture, all enveloped in shades of purple and pink. Svccy offers a darker, more introspective take on this style, in which his artistic exploration examines questions of identity, authenticity, and illusory freedom in the age of the technological and media revolution. His works are characterized by statues, often faceless or covered with objects, symbolizing the loss of individual identity within contemporary society, which is ultra-consumerist and dominated by technology. He enriches his animated compositions with original music that he composes himself, thereby offering a 360-degree immersive artistic experience.

Svccy has received numerous awards for his work, including the Work Culture Observatory Award at the Connexion Festival in Rome, and has distinguished himself as the winner of the Talent Varese solo exhibition, a finalist for the 14th “Sergio Fedriani” Prize, the Varese Design Week Talent Award, and the first edition of the art competition organized by BVLGARI Accessories and COMONExT. In 2023, he was selected for a solo exhibition at W1 Curates on Oxford Street in London. That same year, he exhibited in Shibuya, Tokyo, and was then selected to design the visual projections for Bellini’s “Norma” and Verdi’s “Nabucco” during the Ravenna Festival’s 2023 Autumn Trilogy, thereby bringing digital art into the classical world of opera. He was also a finalist among the twelve artists selected for the first edition of the VDA Award in 2023. In 2025, he continued to exhibit in Belgium, Romania, South Africa, and Indonesia; participated in the Istanbul IDAF at the AKM; and embarked on an Italian tour with composer Pasquale Corrado featuring the audiovisual performance “Requiem.”

Generative art

Generative art refers to a way of creating artworks using an autonomous system. In digital art, these are usually generated from code and algorithms created by the artist, often with certain predefined parameters or systems. Although these parameters guide the final outcome of the work, generative art is generally a surprising way to create artworks, as the results are often unexpected and the number of possible outcomes can be infinite.

AI art is a branch of generative art that uses artificial intelligence. Unlike other generative artworks, AI artworks use specific complex algorithms and models derived from machine learning. The most common methods for creating AI art today are GANs (generative adversarial networks) or proprietary prompting platforms such as ChatGPT, Sora, Midjourney, or Dall-e.

3D art uses 3D software such as Blender, Cinema4D, Houdini, or video game software such as Unity to create works of art. In 3D works, artists can either arrange assets (the 'objects' in a 3D artwork or world) that they have created themselves or purchased from other creators to create elaborate environments and scenes (an approach to 3D art called 'set dressing'), or specialize in sculpting, which involves creating their own objects and assets.

Photogrammetry

Photogrammetry is a specialized 3D technique that allows 3D objects to be created from numerous photographs taken of an object or scene from multiple angles. These photos are then compiled to determine the specific positioning, shape, and dimensions of the object in space, and then converted into a 3D model. Initially developed for engineering and urban planning, photogrammetry has become a way for artists to produce extremely accurate 3D models from real-life images.

Collage

An extension of the traditional, plastic approach to collage, digital collage involves searching for and cutting out multiple images, extracting them from their original context, and recomposing them in a new arrangement to create a work of art. Artists can use their own photographs or find images on the internet.

Illustration

Digital illustrations are created using software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or Procreate. As with drawing on paper, the artist uses a stylus to sketch a figure or object, usually on a tablet, to construct a scene or artistic universe. Unlike traditional drawing methods, digital illustration is much more forgiving, as mistakes can be easily corrected and drawn elements and objects can be easily moved around within a scene.

Video

Video artworks primarily use a recording camera, but may sometimes include additional post-processing or editing to distort, modify or add additional elements to the image. Some artists use state-of-the-art recording equipment to create macro zoom-ins or time lapses, privileging fidelity to the subject matter. Others use additional softwares to significantly modify or warp the video, creating an alternative perspective on the world that surrounds us.
