Ryan Talbot is a contemporary 3D artist from Southern California. Specializing in motion design and 3D, he studied film in California. His career spans more than ten years of freelance work in motion design, 3D, and visual effects. Since 2021, he has devoted himself to personal creations, which he sells as NFTs. His work features whimsical and endearing robots that explore, on a microcosmic scale, their interactions with nature and with one another. These works, seemingly lighthearted, subtly explore the connections between technology and the environment, and evoke the memory of discovery, that sense of wonder at something new, much like in childhood. Ryan Talbot also explores themes of serenity, memory, and home, which he sets to music.
His career has led him to collaborate with renowned brands and artists, such as Nickelodeon, Nissan, New Balance, Lil Nas X, Zedd, America’s Got Talent, and Star Trek. In 2019, he won the grand prize on Australia’s Got Talent alongside dancer Kristy Sellars, for performances combining dance and interactive visuals. He has also been recognized for his short film The Stars, which won the Grand Prize at the Surf City Student Film Festival in 2014. His animations have been exhibited at prestigious venues such as Sotheby’s Paris, Beeple Studios, the Pellas Gallery, Art Basel Miami, the Medici Collection in Times Square, and the SuperRare Gallery in New York.
