For Franz Rosati, everything starts with sound. A trained musician, he develops custom software that allows him to create a real-time dialogue between sound and visual elements, constantly blurring the line between the real and the digital. His works take the form of vast, ever-changing landscapes: clouds of points that warp, wireframe structures that disintegrate, and imaginary maps crafted from open data, artificial intelligence, and video game engines. Nothing is ever static: each piece is conceived as a living architecture, capable of reinventing itself from one performance to the next through generative and interactive systems. This same approach, which he employs in both audiovisual concerts and contemplative installations, draws on meticulous work with the sound material itself: a collection of elements transformed into dense music where the organic and the digital constantly interact.

His works have been exhibited internationally, notably at Platform 101 in Iran, the Pastificio Cerere Foundation in Italy, and in Portugal. These same works have also been presented at leading music and digital art festivals such as the Romaeuropa Festival, Les Bains Numériques, the 90dB Festival Arti Sonore, and the ADAF Festival in Greece, as well as at clubs focused on experimental, electronic, or techno music, such as OHM in Berlin. His work has also gained international recognition, from the Torino Share Festival to the WeSA Festival in South Korea, including a presentation at the Centre Pompidou as part of The Wrong Biennale, and at the Dong Gallery in Taipei. Alongside his artistic practice, Franz Rosati teaches interactive systems and sound design at the European Institute of Design, as well as at conservatories and universities in Italy and abroad, while also leading training workshops for festivals and artistic and technological institutions.
