Several years ago, I experienced a profound moment listening to a pirate copy of Bill Hicks' show. He was preparing a monologue about the fact that there were no good drug stories in prime time. The monologue was about a good drug story: "Today, a young man on acid realized that all matter is energy condensed into a slow vibration, that we are all a consciousness that experiences itself subjectively, that death does not exist, that life is only a dream and that we are the imagination of ourselves. This is Tom with the weather." I have never forgotten the words "we are all a consciousness that experiences itself subjectively". I thought it was a nice way to describe our existence. This is where the term "divinity" comes from and this is what I try to mean when I use it.
