At Artpoint, we believe that art not only impacts the mind and emotions, but can also contribute to building a more sustainable future. Artists have always used their practices to critique, to raise awareness, to ignite important debates and imagine possible futures that inspire us to take action. Digital art is no exception. Even further, digital art can be a more environmentally friendly option than paintings or sculptures, as it avoids the logistics and transportation that contributes to so much of the art market’s carbon footprint. However, we also recognize that digital technology has its own set of challenges. That’s why, in partnership with BPI, we have implemented an ambitious action plan to reduce our carbon footprint.
Social impact
01.
support artists
Each exhibited artist receives income in the form of royalties. By working with Artpoint, you also contribute to supporting this new generation of artists.
02.
promote culture
Sharing culture with as many people as possible is a major social barrier, which is why we take art out of museums and introduce it into everyday spaces.

Maximize the impact of your screens
We are aware that digital technology is not without its impact. That's why 80% of our exhibitions are displayed on existing screens. Our goal is to maximize the societal benefit of screens that already exist by putting them to better use.

Our Carbon Footprint with BPI France

Our Assessment
At Artpoint, we undertook the BPI Diag Décarbon’action Program to establish a precise assessment of our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for 2023-2024. This diagnosis has been crucial in identifying our main energy consumption areas. It reveals that our carbon footprint is representative of the digital sector, which remains low compared to industry and transportation. With a footprint equivalent to the annual emissions of 10 French citizens, it is significantly lower than that of companies using traditional art mediums. This assessment helps us dispel misconceptions about the environmental impact of digital technology and guides us in our ecological transition while reinforcing our role in the fight against climate change.
