Born in Memphis, TN, Kenneth Alexander is an artist who fuses traditional and digital art styles to create a new vision, embodied by NOVIarts. Passionate about musical creation, he harmoniously blends sound effects and visual creation in his art. His imagination developed as he progressed in his style. He began his studies at the University of Tuskegee, but the costs soon became too high and he had to continue to train on his own. That’s when he began to develop his own style. The organization and participation in exhibitions have earned him the attention of the whole country. The Brooks Museum has also shown its support for his work. "Surreal Kingdoms", an exhibition by Kenneth himself, was presented jointly with Smithsonian’s "The Art of Video Games" in 2015 for 6 months. As the keynote speaker at the 2016 Scholastic Art Contest, he helped inspire a new generation of artists to pursue their dreams and bring them to reality. Kenneth has really set a new course for artists to follow and succeed.
Alexander wants to highlight the human qualities he discovers in the people he meets and offer a way out of the perhaps painful past of his viewers by offering an optimistic message. In his works, he uses mixed media by combining acrylic paint and digital collage to create a stop motion effect. Kenneth Alexander also offers a new way of looking at surrealist realms by describing different universes he has seen through vivid dreams, depression, anxiety and imagination. By continuing to use his medium, the artist takes his surrealist thoughts to new heights.
