JP Yepez is a new media artist, musician and researcher from Quito, Ecuador. He designs audiovisual experiences through creative coding, sound design and music. He works on generative art projects that echo questions about interactions between humans and machines and computer creativity.

JP’s experimental music composition practices and title, Doublethink, were presented in The Modern Music Technologist, an online course by Kadenze. He has worked actively as an artist and performer throughout his Master of Fine Arts studies at the California Institute of the Arts, including as a creative technologist and curator of the digital arts exhibition. He has been a strong advocate of digital arts education through his work as a special professor at CalArts [2017], a music technology tutor at Victoria University in Wellington [2019-2020] and Massey University in New Zealand [2020], and creative technology consultant at Kadenze Inc. since 2015.
