Florence To is a Scottish artist and filmmaker from Hong Kong who creates multi-sensory installations and generative motion design with an emphasis on spatial architectural design in site-specific projects. Working with disparate architectural environments, her process explores how different sensory arrangements are experienced in space. She uses information, vibrations and computer tools, but also uses other methods of exploration through the generation and manipulation of light in physical materials.
In particular, she worked with the photonics group of the Iberian International Laboratory of Nanotechnology in Braga, with The "Spatialization and Auditory Display Environment" in Limerick and was supported by the European Network for Contemporary Audiovisual Creation [ENCAC].
